For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn towards creative activities.  When I was a little girl, playing Barbie’s meant organizing and decorating the Barbie house to look beautiful but never actually playing with the dolls.  I excelled in art and music classes in high school and graduated college with a degree in music education.  As an adult living on my own for the first time, I wanted to have a decorated home worthy of a magazine cover.  Of course my budget was significantly smaller than those homes that graced the covers of my favorite magazines.  My very first home project was painting my kitchen cabinets and the wood paneling…a lot of wood paneling.

When my husband and I bought our first house we had a lot of updating and space to fill.  It only took me a few trips to the furniture stores to realize not only did I not want to pay the prices of new furniture but that the furniture I was finding wasn’t of the greatest quality.  I found myself on more than one occasion saying “I could build that.”  So one day, I did.

I’ve now built a business painting life back into old pieces of furniture, building new pieces, and creating beautiful spaces for client’s homes.  I continue to experiment with new techniques and advancing my skills as an artist and creator to bring my clients the latest trends in home design.  I’m so blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom to my beautiful children while having a business doing something I love more and more with each project I complete.
